The Chances – “No Escape”

The CHANCES – No Escape from Eddie O'KEEFE on Vimeo.

Julia Barna, one of my mates from University seems to have joined a smashing band out in L.A named ‘The Chances’ that pride themselves on creating “make-out music”. The groups has officially released their first single “No Escape” accompanied by a beautifully directed video from Eddie O’Keefe. I am unfamiliar with the other two lads in the group (Michael Runion & Sara Sinclair), but I’m sure they are awesome folks, and I can’t wait to hear more from them! Support ‘The Chances’ by downloading the single here, and “like” their facebook page! Much respect!

“Traffic tried to trap us on the city bus
I had to keep the freaks at bay

I grew so impatient when our stop wouldn’t come
Your room still seemed so far away

You took us to an alley with the quietest step
Out of view, oh, how i felt your frame

You gave us such a chill i thought my spine would collapse
And you sought no escape

No Escape
You’ve got me where you want me

No escape
You’ve got me where you want me
So there won’t be
No escape

Met you in the morning past the classroom walls
We ran before the first bell rang

Wandered through the city like some children, lost
Then snuck into a matinee

You hid us in the back row where we wouldn’t be found
No sight or sound could shift my gaze
I smiled when i noticed that they’d left us alone
And you sought no escape

No Escape
You’ve got me where you want me

No escape
You’ve got me where you want me
So there won’t be
No escape”

Augie March – The Cold Acre

I had this video up last week as the ‘video of the day’, but after watching it, I realized the symbolism ‘carried’ such an important message, that it needed to be archived instead of briefly visited for one day. If you’re looking for answers about anything in life, watch this entire video, and pay close attention to how the music builds with the characters and the mood. I’d love to hear some of your interpretations! Much respect, Bless up!

The Cold Acre” is the second single released from Moo, You Bloody Choir, the third studio album from Australian indie rock band Augie March.
